About

Image Moved was created in 2011 under the pretense that if people are tired of listening to you talk about things in real life, you should start writing about them online. You’ll find more people like you there.

You can and should follow the blog on Twitter, @imagemoved, where we post links to all of our content and also sarcastic witticisms.

Lauren Chval • Editor and Chief

606_582731235080468_1049090955_nFull disclosure, I stole that “editor and chief” joke from my dad, who will complain a lot if I don’t give him credit. I write about it all; I enjoy good movies, great TV shows, and Notre Dame football, but that doesn’t stop me from writing about the bad stuff, too. On the air, I love Community, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Scandal, The Good Wife, The Newsroom, New Girl, and other ones I’m probably forgetting. My all-time favorite is Gilmore Girls.

I hated the movie Bridesmaids. I go crazy during Oscar season. I think The Social Network was robbed by The King’s Speech and I think Tom Hooper is the most overrated director of all time. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. On Wednesdays, we wear pink.

I write about things I’m passionate about–so at the end of the day, you’re reading a lot about movies that touch my soul, a football team that made me a sports fanatic against all odds, and things that really piss me off.

Also, you can follow me on Twitter.

John Couper • Custodian

202768_10152091087695393_703812228_oOriginally from Columbia, MO, I have relocated myself to Boise, ID because I didn’t want to be on my back porch any longer. I have a strong passion for film and music, but I also find contemporary entertainment news fun to talk about. Some of my heroes are Trey Parker, Louis C.K., John Williams and Calvin Coolidge.

The only real TV shows that I actively watch when they premiere are Breaking Bad and South Park. Some of my favorite movies are Blade Runner, Wall-E, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Shawshank Redemption and Jiro Dreams of Sushi. I recently got back to being unhealthy with my involvement in video games, and I can’t wait for the release of Grand Theft Auto 5.

I like to think of myself as a nice guy. Sometimes I’m kind of a narcissist, but who isn’t? When I get a chance, I write music for my buddy’s short films and have a lot of fun doing it. I’m generally pretty easy going and don’t get stressed out too often, but I believe this trait is slowly fading away as a dark cloud filled with student loans and bills begins to descend upon me.
