It’s been a slow week for entertainment, friends. Sure, The Spectacular Now came out today, but only in L.A. and New York, so that doesn’t do me a whole lot of good. Graceland didn’t have a new episode this week so we have to wait until next Thursday to find out whether or not Briggs is actually drug lord Odin. I was resigned to writing a quick post about today’s announcement that Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting The Academy Awards next year, but then this gem dropped on the Internet–the first teaser for Sherlock’s season three.
You can hear the fangirls squealing from here.
If you’re not a watcher of Sherlock, I highly recommend that you catch up before the third season premieres in October because it’s the wittiest show on television. Each season is comprised of only three episodes, granted each episode is about an hour and a half, which is basically like watching three movies. It’s phenomenal. And while it’s a BBC show, for the first time ever, the show will be premiering in the US and the UK at the same time. In the past, Americans have had to wait months for the series to make it across the pond legally.
Anyway, let’s watch:
Yeah, I know. You don’t really get anything of substance from that trailer. But just to hear that iconic Sherlock violin while seeing all of our favorite characters again (Watson has a mustache!) is an excited shock to the system. For those of you who haven’t seen the series, just know that season two left us on an unbearable cliffhanger.
